Brown Appliance and Mattress, formerly known as Brown Appliance and TV, has been in business since 1976. The first store was
opened by John Brown and was an immediate success. This success is attributed to John, who was well known for his story telling
and work ethic. John Browns, son “Cubby” and later, daughter Christy worked along side their Dad in building the family
business and moved the store from the old state liquor store
